It’s the Year of the Snake and I’m finally starting my shed.

I can’t hold on to things that I truly don’t believe in. I can’t take part in a society that wasn’t meant for me, in a system that doesn’t care about its people. All my life I’ve known I’m a helper but I think I’m only now starting to realise in what way, what form. It’s not customer service for some big, or even small, company. No, it’s deeper than that. It’s spiritual, it’s human, it’s warm honey in your tummy and a soft breeze in your mind. 

The 9-5, low wage life is grey. My world wants to be bursting with colour. I’ve tried to play the game for a long time, knowing deep inside I wanted more. That I knew I could be more and do more, actually. 

I don’t have the actions right now but this is my declaration to myself and to you that I will endeavour to live the most colourful life and help you to live yours, too. I don’t want to forget who I am, I don’t want to have to live a pretend life. I want my life to be soft and creative and full of baking. And maybe that sounds like a pipe dream but we should all have dreams, and we should all aspire to make them come true, no? I’m going to do something creative right now, I’ll either draw or paint or write a story. I implore you to do the same. It doesn’t have to be creative, but it has to be something you love doing. And try to make it something not on your phone (ironic, I know, as you’re reading this on a screen. Thank you so much by the way!).
